Panel: Marriage in GOP Platforms

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Defining marriage between one man and one woman versus supporting same-sex marriage.  Historically, the Republican Party supported and lobbied for marriage equality before the Left started to.  The Democratic Party was responsible for anti-gay legislation, specifically in regard to President Bill Clinton signing the Defense of Marriage Act and the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.  Discussion topics include is the definition of what it means to be a family changing?  Do we need to attract voters by advocating multiple ideologies within the Republican Party?
